WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team is set to the Youngstown State University Penguins from Friday, March 20 to Sunday, March 22. First pitch of the series is scheduled for 3 p.m. at Capital One Park.

- During the 2026 season, all parking for games at Capital One Park will be in the underground garage at 1820 Capital One Drive South. Patrons should bring their parking ticket to the stadium for validation of baseball rate.
ABOUT THE HOYAS
- In its last outing, Georgetown narrowly fell to the No. 9 University of Virginia Cavalier 6-4 on Tuesday evening at Disharoon Park in Charlottesville, Virginia.
- Last week, Luke Jackman was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll. The graduate student earned a pair of saves, his third and fourth of the season, against George Mason over the weekend.
- Connor Peek leads the Hoya offense slashing .354/.450/.456 in his first season on the Hilltop. The graduate student has tallied 28 hits, five doubles, a home run, 21 RBIs and 19 runs scored.
- Jeremy Sheffield has had a standout performance slashing .354/.457/.519 this season. The senior has notched 28 hits, 19 RBIs, eight doubles, a triple, a home run and 14 runs scored.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from the 2025 squad and has added 10 transfers and seven newcomers.
- Graduate student JT Raab earned a nod to the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team after posting a team-best 3.63 ERA in 74.1 innings of action in 2025. The Seaford, New York native was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2025.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his sixth season on the Hilltop. Thompson guided GU to its most successful season in program history in 2024 posting a 36-21 record marking three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history.
ABOUT YOUNGSTOWN
- Youngstown enters the contest with a 2-15 record following a series loss against Oakland. The Penguins won 6-5 on Friday, March 13, but conceded the final games of the series 12-6 on Saturday, March 14 and 4-3 on Sunday, March 15 in Butler, Pennsylvania.
- Alex Jang leads the Penguins slashing .311/.380/.444 on the season. Jang has recorded 14 hits, three doubles, a home run, five RBIs and four runs scored in 14 games.
- Trevor Charpie enters his second season at the helm of Youngstown.
