WASHINGTON – Georgetown University baseball's Spencer Seid was named to the BIG EAST weekly honor roll, as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The award comes after a 2-2 week for the Hoyas that saw a 2-1 series win over the Youngstown State University Penguins. The honors mark the Blue & Gray's seventh recognition from the league and Seid's second nod this season.
SPENCER SEID (GRADUATE STUDENT / LHP / SAN MARINO, CALIF.) - BIG EAST HONOR ROLL
- Seid earned his fifth win of the season against Youngstown and now sits at 5-1 on the year.
- The graduate student tossed 6.0 innings punching out eight, allowing one run and two hits.
- The San Marino, California native boasts a 2.67 ERA in six games played with 39 strikeouts and 33.2 innings pitched.
- This is Seid's second accolade from the league this season and second in his career.
