WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team is set to travel to face the University of Maryland Terrapins on Tuesday, May 12 at Bob "Turtle" Smith Stadium. First pitch in College Park, Maryland is scheduled for 6 p.m.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
- In its last outing, Georgetown defeated the Creighton University Bluejays 5-2 on Sunday, May 10 at Charles Schwab Field Omaha to win the weekend series 2-1.
- Connor Peek leads the Hoya offense slashing .340/.440/.495 in his first season on the Hilltop. The graduate student has tallied 70 hits, 14 doubles, six home runs, 43 RBIs and 53 runs scored.
- Jeremy Sheffield has had a standout year for the Hoyas slashing .323/.436/.458 this season. The senior has notched 65 hits, 45 RBIs, 13 doubles, a triple, four home runs and 37 runs scored.
- Connor Price leads the Hoyas with eight homers on the season.
- Georgetown returns 22 players from the 2025 squad and has added 10 transfers and seven newcomers.
- Graduate student JT Raab earned a nod to the 2026 Preseason All-BIG EAST Team after posting a team-best 3.63 ERA in 74.1 innings of action in 2025. The Seaford, New York native was named to the All-BIG EAST First Team in 2025.
- Head Coach Edwin Thompson enters his sixth season on the Hilltop. Thompson guided GU to its most successful season in program history in 2024 posting a 36-21 record marking three-consecutive 30-win seasons for the first time in program history.
ABOUT MARYLAND
- The Terps enter the contest with a 24-28 overall record following an 11-7 win over Rutgers on Sunday, May 10 in Piscataway, New Jersey.
