NEW YORK – Georgetown women's soccer standout and graduate Maja Lardner was named the BIG EAST Female Scholar-Athlete of the Year, the conference announced Wednesday.. As the female recipient, Lardner will receive a $4,000 scholarship to support graduate or professional studies. The honor is selected annually by the BIG EAST Academic Affairs Committee.

Lardner becomes the fourth Hoya in the past five years to earn the prestigious distinction, joining Julia Leas, who received the award in both 2023 and 2024. A standout both on the field and in the classroom, Lardner earned a bachelor's degree in finance and marketing from Georgetown with a 3.612 cumulative GPA. She is pursuing graduate studies in real estate at Georgetown and has maintained a perfect 4.0 graduate GPA.

She was also named a First Team CSC Academic All-American in 2024, earned CSC Academic All-District honors in 2024 and 2025, and was selected to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team in four of her five seasons on the Hilltop.

On the pitch, Lardner put together one of the most accomplished careers in Georgetown women's soccer history. A three-time BIG EAST champion, she earned United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America honors, was twice named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year, garnered two All-BIG EAST First Team selections and received United Soccer Coaches All-Region recognition. Following her collegiate career, Lardner signed her first professional contract with NWSL club Racing Louisville FC.

Over her five-year career, Lardner appeared in 91 matches, making 55 starts, totaling 31 goals and 20 assists for 82 career points. She also established herself as one of Georgetown's most reliable performers in key moments, scoring 10 game-winning goals. During her time in the Blue & Gray, the Hoyas earned five consecutive NCAA Tournament appearances and advanced to the BIG EAST Championship match four times.
