NEW YORK - Graduate student-athlete Reiley Fitzpatrick was selected as the BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week, as announced by the league office on Monday. The standout goalkeeper anchored a lockdown Hoya defense on Sunday against No. 12/4 Virginia, helping Georgetown battle to a pivotal scoreless draw.

BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Week
   •   Fitzpatrick turned in a standout performance against No. 12/4 Virginia, making two saves to help the Hoyas secure a pivotal 0-0 draw against the Cavaliers.
   •   The graduate goalkeeper anchored a resilient Georgetown defense, helping the Hoyas keep Virginia off the scoreboard for all 90 minutes.
   •   The Ashburn, Va. native came up with several key stops including two one-on-one opportunities throughout the contest to preserve the clean sheet and earn Georgetown a result against the nationally ranked Cavaliers.
   •   Fitzpatrick has started all five matches for the Hoyas this season, while recording 10 saves and two shutouts.
   •   She has recorded at least two saves in each of Georgetown's last three matches, including a pair of stops in a scoreless draw at Saint Mary's and a season-high five saves against Virginia Tech.
