Bethlehem, Pa. ? The Georgetown University women?s field hockey team (2-6-0) lost to Lehigh (5-5-0) Wednesday evening at the Ulrich Sports Complex by a score of 4-0.

The Mountain Hawks thoroughly dominated possession throughout the game, having out shot the Hoyas 17-4. Lehigh?s Sheila Clabby got the Mountain Hawks on the board in the 17th minute with an assist from Moira Garrity. Lehigh would take a two-goal lead into the half after Christine Smith scored in the 28th minute.

Lehigh would add to the lead in the second half as Garrity scored on a penalty shot and Kristi Miller capped the scoring with a goal in the 65th minute

Georgetown goalie Abby Winer (Rising Sun, Md./Rising Sun) had nine saves for the Hoyas.

The Hoyas return home on Sunday, September 26 to face Lock Haven at noon on Kehoe Field.
