WASHINGTON, DC-- Georgetown University baseball rising senior Ryan Craft has been named to the 2005 ABCA/Rawlings All-East Region Team. Craft, a designated hitter for the Hoyas, was named to the second team. He was also honored earlier this season as a first team All BIG EAST selection.
Craft batted .355 for the year and started 53 of 55 games played. He led Georgetown in homeruns with 13, RBI with 48, and total bases at 116. Craft was second on the squad in hits (65) and runs (39) as well as ranking second in the BIG EAST for homeruns. In addition, Craft was named BIG EAST Player of the Week for March 28 where he belted three home runs including the game winner in the victory over Notre Dame, knocked in seven RBI and scored six runs. Craft was also named to the ESPN the Magazine Academic All-America District II Baseball team.
