Seven Future Hoyas Took Part in Under Armour High School All-Americ Classic
On June, 16, 2007, the Under Armour High School All-America Lacrosse Classic took a place at Loyola College in Baltimore with the North and South teams squaring off. Of the 22 Division I schools that were represented in the game, seven will be donning the Blue & Gray for the Hoyas. The seven players are the most among the 22 colleges that were represented.

The players on the North roster were Mary Beth Brophy (Berwyn, Pa./Archbishop Carroll), Kathleen Dwyer (Winnetka, Ill./Loyola Academy) and Allie Hubschmann (Short Hills, N.J./Oak Knoll) while the South roster included Jacquelin Giles (Ellicott City, Md./Mt. Hebron), Jordy Kirr (Baltimore, Md./Bryn Mawr), Lauren Thomas (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephen's & St. Agnes) and Mary Wittelsberger (Parkton, Md./Hereford).

The South team won the game, 14-11. Ali Hubschmann scored a goal for the North squad while Jordy Kirr paced the South team with a goal and two assists to go along with Jacqueline Giles and Mary Wittelsberger combined for two points on four shots.

Jordy Kirr Named Player of the Match in United States U-19 World Championship
On August 11, Hoya freshman Jordy Kirr (Baltimore, Md./Bryn mawr) was recently named Player of the Match after helping to lead the United States to an 18-3 win over Australia in the International Federation of Women's Lacrosse Associations (IFWLA) Under-19 World Championship final. Kirr led the Americans with a goal and five assists in the victory.

Team USA, who posted a 6-0 record through the tournament, outscored its opponents by a combined 108-24. The U.S. dominated possession in the final game, winning 17 of 23 draw controls and outshooting Australia 34-9. Kirr posted a tournament-high 18 assists.

Family Ties
The 2008 roster will feature two pairs of sisters. Junior midfielder Courtney Hubschmann (Short Hills, N.J./Oak Knoll School) will be joined by her younger sister Allie Hubschmann while junior Jordan Trautman (Mystic, Conn./Loomis Chaffee) will see her younger sister Maggie join the GU program. Since 2000, the Hoyas have had six sets of sisters on the same team. Erin Elbe (1999-00) played with her older sister Catherine (2002-05) in 2002. Defender Megan Ellis (2004-07) played with current junior Margot in 2006 and 2007. Courtney Hubschmann will play alongside her younger sister Allie this coming spring. Reagan Raneri (1998-99, 2001) and Kristin Raneri were teammates in 1999 and 2001. Sheehan Stanwick (1998-2001) and Wick Stanwick (2000-03) were teammates for two seasons before Coco Stanwick (2004-07) arrived on the Hilltop. Current midfielder Jordan Trautman will see her younger sister Maggie in a Blue & Gray uniform this spring.

Ironically, the 2008 season will mark the first time since 1998 that a Stanwick sister will not be a part of the Hoya roster.
