Washington, D.C. - The Georgetown University baseball team has a small group of players continuing their development this summer by suiting up in various leagues. Sean Lamont and Tom Elliott are playing locally in the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League and Harry Startzell Collegiate Baseball League, Tim Adleman and Alex Meyer have traveled south to the Coastal Plain League and Jimmy Saris, Jack Bender and Dan Godefroi migrated north to the Cape Cod Baseball League and New England Collegiate Baseball League.

Adleman and Meyer are teammates on the Wilson Tobs of the CPL, where the squad is hovering around the .500 mark. Adleman, a Raleigh, N.C. native and staff ace, leads the league in strikeouts and his four wins and 2.34 ERA also rank highly. Meyer has been battling injuries to get back on the field and help his team compete.

Lamont is playing everyday for Youse's Maryland Orioles of the Cal Ripken Sr. Collegiate Baseball League. The Orioles are currently in second place and the Texas native has been a key component to the squad's success, leading the team in walks and ranking fourth in runs scored and batted in. Elliott, a fellow starting infielder for the Hoyas, is spending his summer back home in Pennsylvania playing for the Angels of the Harry Startzell Collegiate Baseball League.

Saris is pitching for the Wareham Gatemen of the CCBL and is second on the team with a 1.17 ERA. As of this point, he did not have enough innings to be considered one of the league leaders. Bender and Godefroi are also in New England playing for the Pittsfield Dukes and Lowell All-Americans of the NECBL. Bender, a right-hander from Cranford, N.J., is coming out of the bullpen as a reliever for the Dukes while Godefroi has been playing in the field every day for the All-Americans.
