Recap | Box Score
Head Coach Tiffany Marsh On Georgetown's performance against Rider... "We came out a little flat, but we picked it up in the second half and scored a good goal. Our real momentum came at the end of the second half, we just ran out of time and had to go to overtime."
On the Hoyas playing strong late despite having a small bench...
"They've worked so hard since preseason because they know they have to. We don't have the numbers, we don't have the subs and the legs to give them a break. Even how they played in the overtime when it was seven-v-seven they had a great shot to win it. They're in shape for sure."
On Freshman Meggie Taylor...
"Meggie did a great job in the center for us today. She set up our goal by beating three or four people before hitting the circle before dishing it off and Maggie was right there to finish it."
Senior Maggie Farrand
On her goal...
I just happened to be in the right place at the right time. It was great stick work by Meggie Taylor just going into the circle something she's been trying to bring into games that she does really well in practice.
On the team's performance...
"The coaches did a really good job preparing us for what type of team Rider is. We were right there we had a great game plan, we really used the outside of the field, because they like to use the middle of the field. We used the outside of the field as much as we could, we had some opportunities, but we just couldn't get that last one."
On the team improving instead of wearing down...
"The worst thing you can do is have a small team and wear down halfway through the season. I think we're being really smart about being efficient during practices and then letting the ball do the work during the game."
