Tommy Lee Named 2010 Georgetown Baseball Captain

Nov. 24, 2009

Washington, D.C. - Senior outfielder Tommy Lee (Mahopac, N.Y./Mahopac) has been named the captain of the 2010 Georgetown baseball team, head coach Pete Wilk announced today.

"We're pleased to have Tommy serve again a captain this year," Wilk said. "He represents everything I want this program and this team to stand for: integrity, hard work, accountability and excellence in the classroom."

Last season, Lee batted .308 and started every game he played, 44 contests. He also tied for second on the team in runs scored and hits while leading the team in stolen bases with 23. Lee also accumulated a .396 slugging percentage and a .413 on-base percentage for the Blue & Gray.

In his first year at Georgetown after transferring from Winthrop, Lee played in every game and started all but one, batting .283 for the season. He also tied for second on the team in runs scored and was second on the team in hits. Lee also led the Hoyas in stolen bases and sacrifices during the 2008 season.

Georgetown opens its season on February 19 with a three-game series at Davidson.
