Georgetown Field Hockey Camp Registration Open

Feb. 28, 2009

WASHINGTON, D.C. - The Georgetown University field hockey team has announced dates for the 2009 Tiffany Marsh Field Hockey Camp with the overnight camp beginning on Wednesday, July 8 and ending on Saturday, July 11. The Day Camp begins on Monday, July 13 and concludes on Thursday, July 16.

The camp is designed to create a fun and competitive environment for players to develop their individual and team skills. Campers will receive individual attention and focus to help them take their game to the next level.

Marsh, who will begin her third season as Head Coach of the Georgetown Field Hockey program in the fall, will head the camp. Prior to her time on the Hilltop, Marsh served as an assistant coach at American University helping the Eagles to a 14-7 record and trip to the NCAA Tournament in 2006. As a player at University of Maryland, Marsh helped guide the Terrapins to the program's fourth national championship in 2005, while earning three consecutive second team All-Region honors. In her four years in College Park, Marsh accumulated 102 points while playing in 93 games.

Assisting Marsh will be Georgetown assistant coach Emily Beach. As a player, Beach also helped guide Maryland to the 2005 NCAA and ACC Championship titles. She also helped the Terrapins win the 2006 National Championship as a volunteer assistant coach. During her playing career, Beach was part of a Maryland defense that ranked in the top 15 in the nation in goals against average in 2004 and 2005. She was named first team All-American as a senior, as well as earning All-ACC and NCAA All-Tournament honors in 2005.
