WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's lacrosse squad has earned three national rankings for the 2015 season. The Hoyas were selected No. 17 in the Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association's Preseason Poll, No. 20 in the Inside Lacrosse Women's Media Poll and No. 18 by Lacrosse Magazine. The Blue & Gray will open the season on February 14 at The University of Delaware.

Lacrosse Magazine released its preseason poll in early January and the media poll came out three weeks later with Georgetown earning a spot in both polls. The IWLCA poll was released today.

Last week, the Blue & Gray was selected to finish second in the BIG EAST Conference Preseason Coaches Poll. Three Hoyas also earned spots on the Preseason All-BIG EAST Team.

Georgetown completed the 2014 season with a record of 11-9 and its second-consecutive NCAA Tournament berth. The Hoyas advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament and also appeared in the BIG EAST Tournament Championship Game.

Georgetown will start off 2015 against the University of Delaware Blue Hens on Feb. 14 in Newark, Del. The opening draw is at 1 p.m.
