WASHINGTON - Georgetown University sophomore Jake Carraway (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) was named to the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Weekly Honor Roll, as announced by the league office on Monday. Carraway led the Hoyas in scoring in their lone game of the week.
With a team-high four goals, Carraway paced the Blue & Gray in a 15-10 setback on the road at Drexel. The loss was the first of the season for the Hoyas (6-1), who are currently ranked No. 16 in the USILA Coaches Poll and No. 18 in the Maverik/Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
Carraway was previously named to the honor roll twice this season and was tabbed the Attack Player of the Week last week. He has scored multiple goals in every game this season with at least four goals on three separate occasions.
Tied with fellow attackman Daniel Bucaro (East Setauket, N.Y./Ward Melville) in points with 35, the duo leads the BIG EAST in points per game with 5.00 a contest. Carraway is also tied for the conference lead in goals per game with 3.29 a game and ranks fourth with 1.71 assists a game.
The Hoyas return to action on Wednesday as they host No. 6/6 Loyola Maryland in a top-20 showdown on the Hilltop.
