Pair of Hoyas Advance on U19 National Team Rosters

WASHINGTON – Two freshmen on the Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team have advanced to the next rounds of selection for their respective U19 National Teams. Graham Bundy Jr. advanced on the training roster of 24 players for the U.S. Men's U19 Team while Carson Milburn is one of the current group of 32 players vying for a spot on the Canadian Men's U19 Team.

Both squads must trim their roster to 23 players for the 2020 World Lacrosse Men's U19 Championship in Limerick, Ireland in July.

Bundy, a midfielder from St. Louis, was named an All-American at MICDS as a sophomore, junior and senior in high school. He was tabbed the Midwest Player of the Year as a junior in 2018 and the Missouri Player of the Year in both 2018 and 2019 as a junior and senior. Bundy led MICDS to state championships from 2014-19 and owns the Missouri single season and career points records with 433 points (276G, 157A) in his career.

Milburn, a faceoff specialist, was born in Burlington, Ontario and played three years at IMG Academy in Florida after transferring from Saint Stephen's Episcopal School. He set the single season faceoff percentage record at IMG Academy at 75 percent, was named to the 2017 Dick's Sporting Goods All-Tournament Team and to the Madlax East Coast Team Invitational All-Star Team.

The United States and Canada are the two premier U19 men's programs in the world. Coming off a 13-12 victory over Canada in 2016, the U.S. has won every World Lacrosse Men's U19 Championship since its inception in 1998. Canada has won the silver medal every year with the exception of 1996 when the team took home the bronze.

Georgetown opens its 2020 season on February 8 at Lafayette in Easton, Pennsylvania. The game against the Leopards will mark the first collegiate contest for both Bundy Jr. and Milburn.
