WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team continues its road trek to start the 2020 campaign as it travels to face UMBC in Catonsville, Maryland Saturday afternoon. The 15th-ranked Hoyas are coming off a 17-3 season-opening victory at Lafayette while the Retrievers open their season against the Blue & Gray on Saturday.

• Georgetown won its third-straight season opener with the 17-3 win against the Leopards.
• Nine different Hoyas scored goals in the game, including six from
Dylan Watson and four from

Owen McElroy picked up the win between the pipes, collecting three saves and allowing just two goals in 49:19 of action.
• Georgetown's defense held Lafayette to just 22 shots on the day and outhustled the Leopards 42-20 in ground balls.

• UMBC is the defending America East Conference champion and defeated Marist in the 2019 NCAA Tournament before falling to top-ranked Penn State.
• The Retrievers return their top-three scorers from a year ago in Ryan Frawley (54 points – 46G, 8A), Trevor Patschorke (53 points – 33G, 20A) and Brett McIntyre (30 points – 24G, 6A).
• Patschorke was named the MVP of the America East Tournament with 10 points (6G, 4A) while Frawley added four goals in the title game to earn a spot on the All-Tournament Team.
• Tommy Lingner is back in goal for UMBC after starting 11 games in 2019 and going 4-8 overall with 98 saves, a .407 save percentage and a 12.75 goals-against average.

• Georgetown and UMBC have faced each other 15 times before with the Retrievers owning a 6-9 all-time mark.
