Villanova claimed third with 15 points, followed by UConn in fourth with 13. Marquette and Butler rounded out the poll in fifth and sixth, respectively.
  • Lynch and Miller, along with seniors Mary Pagano and Madison Ascione, were selected by the coaching staff and their teammates to lead the 2021 squad.
  • Georgetown finished the 2019 season with 12 wins as well as a BIG EAST Championship and the first trip to the NCAA Tournament Second Round since 2014.  Georgetown managed back-to-back double overtime victories to capture the league championship and a tournament win before falling to Syracuse. The squad was 4-3 before the season was cut short last year.

  • The squad opens the year with four straight road games and will not play at home until March 7.
  • Following the victory over Lehigh, Corinne Bednarik was named the Colonial Athletic Association Rookie of the Week for her four goals and six draws in the win.
  • Colleen Grady and Karson Harris were named to the CAA Preseason Team while Lucy Schneidereith was an honorable mention. The Dragons were also picked to finish third in the CAA North Division, according to a vote of the league's seven head coaches.
Series Info
  • The Hoyas are 7-6 all-time against the Dragons and 4-3 at home.
  • Last year, the squads met at Cooper Field and the Blue & Gray came away with the 12-10 victory.
  • Bruno and Lynch each managed four goals in the victory and Bruno also tallied an assist.
  • The Hoyas held the three-goal lead at the half, but Drexel tied the game at nine.
  • GU rattled off three goals to regain the lead and held on for the final 11 minutes to get the win.
