Georgetown Hosts Butler in Final Regular Season Series

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team will host the Butler University Bulldogs in the final two-game home series of the regular season this weekend in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at Cooper Field. The opening draw on Friday is slated for 3 p.m., while the Hoyas and Bulldogs will meet for Senior Day on Sunday in a noon matchup.

  • Georgetown sits at 4-7 overall and 3-3 in the BIG EAST.
  • Last weekend, the Hoyas split with Marquette at home falling 15-9 on Friday but coming back for the 20-10 victory on Sunday.
  • On Monday, graduate student Natalia Lynch was selected as the BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, while freshman Kylie Hazen was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week.
  • Lynch filled the stat sheet in a busy three-game week for the Hoyas totaling six points, 12 groundballs, 14 draw controls and nine caused turnovers.

  • Hazen is currently leading the team in scoring with 22 goals and 10 assists for 32 points on the year.
  • Graduate student Michaela Bruno is second with 22 goals and six assists for 28 points, while Lynch rounds out the top three with 19 goals and six assists for 25 points.
  • Georgetown is finishing off a five-game homestand this weekend before heading out for the final series of the regular season.
About the Bulldogs
  • The Bulldogs are 1-7 overall and 0-6 in BIG EAST play.
  • The squad picked up its first win of the season defeating Denison on Wednesday evening 12-9.
  • The squad used a second-half run to get its first victory of the season.
  • Campbell Connors and KK Callaghan are tied for the team lead in points with 10 apiece.
  • Connors has scored nine goals and one assist, while Callaghan has posted eight goals and two assists on the year.
