Hoyas Host Marquette in Two-Game Series

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team will host the Marquette University Golden Eagles in a two-game home series this weekend at Cooper Field. BIG EAST Conference play consists of two-game home series for each opponent to limit travel during the COVID-19 pandemic. The opening draw on Friday is slated for 3 p.m., while the Hoyas and Golden Eagles will meet again on Sunday at Cooper Field for a noon matchup.

  • Georgetown dropped a 15-10 decision to the No. 3/3 Syracuse University Orange on Tuesday afternoon at Cooper Field in GU's final nonconference game of the year.
  • Currently, Georgetown sits at 3-6 overall and 2-2 in the BIG EAST.
  • Trailing 13-2 at the break, the Hoyas put together a big second half but could not get past the Orange.
  • Freshman Kylie Hazen cut the lead to 11 at 25:28 in the second half, before the Orange hit their final of the contest at 18:29.
