WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's lacrosse junior goalkeeper Emily Gaven (Garden City, N.Y. / Garden City) was named to Team Ireland for the 2022 World Lacrosse Women's World Championship.

The 18 athletes selected will train in the lead up to the 2022 Women's Lacrosse World Championship that will be played at Towson University in Towson, Md. from June 29 – July 9, 2022

"Emily has worked hard on her game and it is great to see the hard work pay off. We are very excited she will have this opportunity to compete internationally and that we will be able to watch her play this summer" said Head Coach Ricky Fried.

Gaven was the starting goalkeeper in all 16 games for the Hoyas in 2021. She tallied 127 saves to average a .392 save percentage.
