Men’s Lacrosse Announces 2022 Team Awards

WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team celebrated all Hoyas, past and present, at the annual alumni game on Saturday at Cooper Field, followed by a presentation of the 2002 Team Awards. Honors for the four-time reigning BIG EAST Champions included Owen McElroy with the William Corcoran Memorial Trophy as the Team MVP, Graham Bundy Jr. as the Outstanding Offensive Player, Will Bowen as the Outstanding Defensive Player, Will Godine as the Jason "Prof" Decker Unsung Hero, Mason Bonnie as Most Improved Player and both Rickey Mirabito and Corey Parke with the Leo H. McCormick Service Award.

  • Ranked second nationally in both goals-against average (8.30) and save percentage (.617)
  • Collected 170 saves on the season and added 36 ground balls

  • Started all 17 games for the Hoyas at close defense
  • Anchored the Georgetown defense that led the NCAA in scoring defense (8.18)
  • Collected 42 ground balls and was credited with 34 caused turnovers
  • Named to the BIG EAST All-Academic Team

  • Played in all 16 games of Georgetown's 17 games on the top defensive midfield line
  • Collected 48 ground balls and was credited with nine caused turnovers
  • Added three assists on the year as well.
