WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's soccer player
Daniel Wu earned United Soccer Coaches Second Team All-America honors on Friday. Wu was one of three student-athletes from the BIG EAST Conference to be on the list. Wu is currently at the 2022 adidas MLS College Showcase in his hometown of Cary, North Carolina.

- The defender was named First Team All-East Region earlier this week.
- Wu was the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Year and named First Team All-BIG EAST.
- He started in all 19 games he appeared in this past season with one goal on the year.
- The senior was part of a defense that posted seven shutouts this past year.
- The captain was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week on 10/24 and earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on 9/26.
- He was the BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year and was selected to the Preseason All-BIG EAST team.
- This is his first All-America honor.

- Wu is the 20th All-American in Georgetown program history and the 19th under Head Coach Brian Wiese.
- This is the fourth-consecutive season that the Blue & Gray has boasted an All-America honoree.
