WASHINGTON – Georgetown track & field is sending four student-athletes to the 2022 Toyota USATF Outdoor Championships in Eugene, Oregon this week. The meet takes place from June 23-26 at Hayward Field where the Hoyas just competed for the NCAA Outdoor Championships last week.
Parker Stokes is set to compete in the 3,000-meter steeplechase,
Matthew Payamps and
Jack Salisbury in the 1,500-meter run and
Lucas Guerra is running in the U20 Championships in the 3,000-meter run.

Parker Stokes
- Stokes' third place finish (8:18.880) in the steeplechase at NCAA Championships set a new school record, a personal best and a world standard time. The steeplechase standard is 8:29.00 and has a field size of 26 athletes split in two heats of 13.
Matthew Payamps
- The junior set a new PR in the 1,500-meter run at the Bryan Clay Invitational where he finished with a time of 3:37.60 and proceeded to the NCAA East Preliminaries for the 2022 outdoor season. The qualifying time for the 1,500-meter run was 3:37.00 and the Championships will see a competition field of three rounds of 12 runners, 36 total.
Jack Salisbury
- Salisbury competed in the 1,500-meter run at the 2022 Outdoor Championships where he finished third. The graduate student then competed at the NCAA East Preliminaries. He set his USA qualifying time at the Bryan Clay Invitational finishing with a time of 3:37.70.
Lucas Guerra
- The freshman's time in the 3,000-meter run (8:04.98) at the 2022 BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships solidified his position for the USA U20 Championships on Saturday.
