WASHINGTON – Senior captain Daniel Wu was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll on Monday when the BIG EAST Conference announced its weekly awards. This is Wu's first weekly honor of the season after being named the BIG EAST Preseason Defensive Player of the Year.

BIG EAST Honor Roll

• Wu scored the first goal in a 2-1 victory over Creighton at Shaw Field on Saturday afternoon. In the 38th minute, sophomore Kieran Sargeant dribbled through traffic to the endline and sent a ball to the back post to an unmarked Wu who snuck in behind the defense. The senior captain hit a perfect header into the back of the net to put the Hoyas on top 1-0.
• It was Wu's third-career goal on the Hilltop.
• This is Georgetown's first nod to the honor roll this season and the second of Wu's career.
