WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University Track & Field team will travel to Chicago, Illinois to compete in the BIG EAST Indoor Track & Field Championships presented by JEEP. The two-day event will be held February 24-25 at the Dr. Conrad Worrill Indoor Track and Field Center.

ABOUT THE GEORGETOWN WOMEN

• At the Alex Wilson Invitational hosted by Notre Dame, the women's distance medley relay team of Melissa Riggins, Maya Drayton, Katy-Ann McDonald and Grace Jensen broke the school record of 10:54.77 with a mark of 10:54.18.
• In the Navy Select event, Pippa Nuttall was fantastic in the mile finishing with a time of 4:55.66 which was good for a spot at the top of the podium.
• Renee Newton took second in the 400m with a time of 57.06.
• Chloe Gonzalez finished first in the 1000m with a time of 2:48.79.
• In the 200m event, Jadah Fitzgerald also took first place with a mark of 24.73.

 
ABOUT THE GEORGETOWN MEN
 

• In the team's last outing, the Alex Wilson Invitational, Joshua Paige was once again crowned champion of the 200m event. Paige finished with a time of 21.22 after tying his own school record a week ago.
• Abel Teffra grabbed a fourth-place finish in the 800m event with a time of 1:49.57.

• In the men's DMR, the team of Camden Gilmore, Nicholas Givan, Matthew Payamps and Matt Rizzo ran the fifth fastest time in school history with a mark of 9:29.73.
• In the Navy Select, Christopher Pitt finished second with a mark of 6.53m in the long jump.
• Parker Stokes won the mile event clocking a time of 4:07.93 and GU teammate Owen Johnson finished in second with a mark of 4:09.40.
