Women’s Lacrosse Welcomes Dartmouth

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (4-5) will host Dartmouth College on Cooper Field for a midday match on Tuesday. The opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m. on the BIG EAST Digital Network. 

About the Hoyas
  • The Blue & Gray faced its fourth ranked opponent on Wednesday against then-No. 11 Maryland, falling 13-4 to the Terrapins.  
  • Emma Gebhardt was awarded BIG EAST Attacker of the Week for the week of March 13 after breaking a single-game program record of 10 goals and 12 points against Monmouth. Gebhardt is tied for first in the NCAA for most goals scored in a single game this season and is tied for fourth all-time in the NCAA.
  • Kylie Hazen has been a key factor in generating offense for the Hoyas with a team-best 14 assists and 31 points and is third with 22 draw controls.  
  • The Hoyas have been relying on the goalie tandem of Emily Gaven and Leah Warehime splitting time in net. Warehime earned her first win of the season with six saves against Monmouth. The sophomore totals 45 saves with a 10.08 goals-against average for a save percentage of .506. 
  • Nicole Massimino paces the defense with 16 caused turnovers and 21 ground balls followed by Olivia Buckmam with 12 caused turnovers and 18 ground balls. 
  • At the draw, Lily Athanas leads the Hoyas with 24 draw controls followed by Maley Starr with 23. 
About the Big Green 
  • Dartmouth is in a two-game losing slide after coming off a 14-13 overtime loss to Siena on Saturday afternoon. The Big Green dropped to 2-3 on the season. 
  • Katina Christensen leads the Big Green with 13 goals while Boo Dewitt follows with 11. Dewitt also adds five assists for a squad-best 16 points. 
  • Maja Desmond leads with six draw controls followed by Meriwether Florence and Nieve Donegan with four apiece. 
  • Isabella Godsick leads the Big Green at the draw with 23 draw controls. 
  • In net, Gisele Todd has started in all five games for Dartmouth. The sophomore holds a .384 save percentage and 12.33 goals against average.

  • Tuesday's contest will be the third meeting for these two programs and the first in 18 years. 
  • The Hoyas last faced the BIG Green in the NCAA Quarterfinals in 2005.
