Women’s Lacrosse Travels to No. 7 Loyola Maryland

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (3-3) remains on the road to take on undefeated No. 7 Loyola Maryland (4-0) on Wednesday. The opening draw is scheduled for 6 p.m. on ESPN+.  

About the Hoyas
  • Kylie Hazen and Erin Bakes led the Hoyas to victory over Delaware with four goals apiece. 
  • Hazen leads the offense with 21 points (11 G, 10 A) followed by Bakes with 18 points from 18 goals. Emma Gebhardt rounds out the top three scorers with 12 points (10 G, 2 A). 
  • At the draw, Hazen leads the Blue & Gray with 22 draw controls while Lily Athanas adds 15 and Maley Starr chips in 12.
  • Nicole Massimino was awarded BIG EAST Defender of the Week for her nine ground balls and six caused turnovers in last week's contests. The graduate student tallied six ground balls and three caused turnovers against No.23 Johns Hopkins while adding three ground balls and three caused turnovers in an 11-7 win over Delaware. 
  • Emily Gaven is two saves away from being ninth all-time in Georgetown records for career saves. The senior currently has 304 career saves behind Pat McKeon ('95) with 305. 
About the Greyhounds
  • The undefeated Greyhounds are coming off of a 11-7 road victory over Penn State. Sophomore Georgia Latch had a team best six points scoring three goals and assisting on three others. 
  • Goalie Lauren Spence recorded 13 saves against Penn State and totals 38 on the season for a save percentage of .585.
  • Spence was named Patriot League Goalkeeper of the Week while Sydni Black was awarded Patriot League Attacker of the Week. 
  • Black recorded a career-high four assists and eight points in a win over No. 23 Penn. 
  • The Greyhounds have two ranked wins this season with a 12-10 victory over No. 18 Johns Hopkins and a 15-7 win against No. 23 Penn.
