WASHINGTON — Georgetown University's Kamryn Lee-Caracci was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week by the conference on Monday afternoon. Georgetown went 2-1 this past weekend, bringing it to 5-1 on the season.

• Lee-Caracci was a difference maker for Georgetown during their 2-1 weekend where the Hoyas defeated Radford 3-1, fell to Iona 1-3, and downed VCU 3-0 at the VCU Invitational.
• The La Grange, Ill. native led the Hoyas with a team-high 14 total blocks over the weekend. She also tallied 27 kills on an impressive .468 hitting percentage.
• Against VCU Lee-Caracci put up her most impressive performance with 10 kills and seven total blocks.

OF NOTE

• Kamryn Lee-Caracci appeared in all but one of the Hoyas 11 sets they played this past weekend.
• The freshman leads the BIG EAST with a .417 hitting percentage.
