WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University volleyball team (8-10) fell short in their efforts against Xavier on Saturday night at McDonough Arena. The match was decided in four sets, with Xavier defeating the Hoyas 3-1 (25-22, 21-25, 23-25, 18-25). Despite the Blue & Gray taking the first set, Xavier took three-consecutive sets to seal a tough road victory.

Hoya Highlights

• Kamryn Lee-Caracci led the Hoyas in kills with 14, followed by Giselle Williams with 12 and Dionna Mitchell with 11.
• Berkeley Ploder continued her strong weekend on the Hilltop, leading the Hoyas in blocks with six. Vaughan Anoa'i and Lee-Caracci also added five blocks each.
• Mitchell was also strong defensively, leading the Hoyas in digs with 18. Karis Park was second to Mitchell, totaling 16.
• Emily Wen, Williams and Mitchell each had a service ace.
