Women’s Lacrosse Travels to Towson

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (1-0) will hit the road to take on Towson (1-0) in a midweek matchup on Wednesday at 4 p.m.

About the Hoyas

The Hoyas are coming off a season opening victory 18-13 on the road against American last Saturday.
Junior Emma Gebhardt led the Hoyas offensive production with seven goals and one assist. The attacker earned a BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll selection for her performance.
Kylie Hazen scored three goals against the Eagles and earned her 100th career goal as a Hoya.
Lily Athanas was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week after recording seven draw controls, two caused turnovers, two ground balls and helping to allow just 16 shots on goal in the win over American.
Emma Driggs recorded two draw controls against American to tie Kelsi Bozel at ninth in career draw controls (136) for the Hoyas. Diggs is now 11 draw controls behind Ashby Kaestner and Stacy Duca who are tied for seventh.

About the Tigers

Towson opened the 2024 season with a 14-10 win against Mount St. Mary's last Saturday.
Milana Zizakovi led the Tigers with a career-high six goals.
The Tigers are coming off an 11-7 season, finishing in second place in the CAA with a 5-2 record. Towson defeated Drexel in the CAA semifinals before falling to Stony Brook in the CAA Championship.
Head Coach Kristen Carr is in her first season at the helm of the Tigers.
