Men’s Lacrosse Welcomes Brown to DC

WASHINGTON – Coming off a thrilling overtime win over the top-ranked team in the nation, the Georgetown University men's lacrosse team hosts Brown to the Nation's Capital on Saturday at noon. The No. 13/11 Hoyas are 2-2 on the year, winning their last two games against nationally-ranked opponents, while the visiting Bears are 0-3 and looking for their first win of the season.
 
On the Air
  • Opening faceoff for Saturday's game at Cooper Field is at 12 p.m. and will be shown on the BIG EAST Digital Network with Jeremy Huber and Earl Brewer calling the action.

  • The Hoyas (2-2) defeated the top-ranked and defending national champions Notre Dame 11-10 in overtime on Sunday.
  • Georgetown moved up in the national rankings, coming in at No. 13 in the USILA Coaches Poll and 11th in the Inside Lacrosse Media Poll.
  • Aidan Carroll posted a hat trick and netted the game-winner in overtime against the Fighting Irish to earn Inside Lacrosse Player of the Week accolades and a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
  • Ty Banks held ND's standout attackman Pat Kavanagh to just one goal in 6v6 action, including without a goal in 59 minutes of action and scoreless through three quarters. He was named the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week for his efforts and picked up a spot on the USILA National Team of the Week.
  • Anderson Moore continued his impressive progression during his rookie season, collecting 11 saves against the Irish to earn his second-straight BIG EAST Freshman of the Week award.
  • On the season, TJ Haley leads the Hoyas in scoring with 16 points (3G, 13A) while Carroll (10G, 2A) and Graham Bundy Jr. (9G, 3A) both have 12 points.
  • At the 'X', James Ball has won 43 of 74 (.581) faceoffs and collected 21 ground balls in four games this season.
  • Defensively, the Blue & Gray have held back-to-back teams to 10 goals or less.
  • Wesley Chairs and Dylan Hess have both been credited with three caused turnovers on the year.
  • In goal, Moore has an 11.80 goals-against average to go with a .467 save percentage and 42 saves.
Scouting Brown
  • The Bears are 0-3 to start the season with losses to Quinnipiac, Boston University and a 12-11 overtime setback to BIG EAST foe Providence last time out.
  • Aidan McLane leads Brown with 11 points (10G, 1A) while Jack Kelly has nine points (3G, 6A).
  • Defensively, Mark Witt has been credited with three caused turnovers and collected eight ground balls.
  • On faceoffs, the duo of Dash Sachs and Teagan Bultman have combined to win 39 of 80 (.487) of their attempts this season along with a combined 13 ground balls.
  • In goal, Connor Theriault had started all three games and owns a 13.33 GAA to go with a .513 save percentage and 40 saves.
Series History
  • Georgetown and Brown will meet for just the sixth time on Saturday and the first time in over 20 years.
  • The Hoyas are undefeated at 5-0 in the series.
  • Georgetown won the last game of the series 12-11 in Providence, Rhode Island in 2003 while the Blue & Gray won 16-6 the last time the two teams played on the Hilltop in 2002.
