Women’s Lacrosse Takes on Xavier at Home

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (3-9, 1-1 BE) will take on BIG EAST foe Xavier (3-7, 0-1 BE) at home on Wednesday, April 3. The first draw is set for noon on Cooper Field.

About the Hoyas
  • The Blue & Gray fell to Denver 11-10 in a tight battle on Cooper Field on Friday afternoon.  
  • Driggs leads the offense with 27 points (26 G, 1 A) while Kylie Hazen follows with 24 points (10 G, 14 A).
  • Lily Athanas leads the Blue & Gray with 36 draw controls followed by Maggie O'Brien with 32 and Driggs with 31.
  • Tatum Geist paces the Hoyas with 13 caused turnovers while Athanas and Maley Starr each have 11.

About the Musketeers 
  • In Xavier's debut season last year, the Musketeers finished 4-10 overall and 0-6 in BIG EAST play. 
  • Xavier is coming off of a 15-7 road loss to Louisville last Wednesday after dropping its BIG EAST opener 16-10 to Butler at home on Saturday, March 23. 
  • Lola Mancuso leads the offense with 40 points (32 G, 8 A) followed by Kirra Crowley with 18 points (16 G, 2 A). 
  • At the draw, Kiera Armitage has a team high of 21 draw controls. 
  • Colby Wasson paces the Musketeers with 13 caused turnovers and is tied with Kimaura Schindler for a team best of 18 ground balls. 
  • In net, the Musketeers split time between all three goalies. The goaltending squad has a total of 89 saves for a .377 save percentage.
