WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team was picked to finish fourth in the BIG EAST conference by the league's coaches in the 2025 preseason poll released on Wednesday. Additionally, defender Lily Athanas, attacker Gracie Driggs and midfielder Maley Starr were named Preseason All-BIG EAST. 

Georgetown earned 22 points from the league's seven coaches to earn the fourth-place position. The University of Denver was picked first with 35 points and five first-place votes while UConn was picked second with 31 points and one first-place vote followed by Villanova at third with 24 points and one first-place vote. Marquette landed in fifth place with 18 points while Butler collected 11 points to finish sixth and Xavier rounded out the poll in seventh with six points.
