WASHINGTON – The No. 13 Georgetown University women's soccer team will host Providence on Wednesday, October 22. Kickoff is slated for 7 p.m. at Shaw Field.

- Georgetown (12-2-2, 8-0 BE) defeated Marquette, 3-0, on Saturday evening to secure its eighth conference win of the season. Natalie Means had two goals and Shay Montgomery added another in the contest.
- Last week, Cara Martin had two shutouts and four saves, earning her a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Martin has logged 1406:29 in goal for the Blue & Gray and boasts a 0.576 goals-against average. The reigning BIG EAST Goalkeeper of the Year has nine shutouts on the campaign and 34 saves to her credit.
- Ellen Carter also earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll after anchoring Georgetown's defense in a pair of shutout victories over Providence and Marquette.
- Maja Lardner scored two goals and had an assist In the 5-0 victory over Providence, which earned her a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. Lardner now has 11 goals and three assists on the season.
- The Blue & Gray ranks second in the BIG EAST in corners per game (7.19). Martin is first in the conference in goals against average (0.576). Lardner is second in the conference in total goals (11) and is third in the conference in total points (25).
- Dating back to 2021, Georgetown boasts a BIG EAST record of 35-2-9 and secured the regular season title in 2022, 2023 and 2024. GU won the BIG EAST Championship in three of the past four seasons (2021, 2022, 2023).
ABOUT VILLANOVA
- Villanova (9-6, 4-3 BE) is coming off of a 2-0 loss against UConn on Saturday.
- Avrie Nelsen paces the Wildcats offense with five goals and 10 points on the season.
