WASHINGTON – Georgetown University senior Maley Starr was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. The team captain was awarded the honor for her performances in the GU's 12-5 victory over American in the season opener on Friday evening.

• Starr led GU with four points (2G, 2A), in the Hoyas victory over the Eagles.
• Starr also recorded two caused turnovers.
