WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team will host Towson University on Thursday, February 13. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Cooper Field.

ABOUT THE HOYAS

• The Hoyas are coming off a 12-5 victory against American in the 2025 season opener last week. 
• Against the Eagles, Gracie Driggs, Rileigh Meyer, Maley Starr and Emma Gebhardt charged the GU offense with two goals apiece. 
• Starr was named BIG EAST Midfielder of the Week after leading the squad with four points (2G, 2A). 
• Lucy Nace controlled the circle with eight draw controls followed by Lily Athanas with two. Athanas is five away from 100 career draw controls. 
• The Hoyas outshot the Eagles 32-22 and held AU to just one shot on goal during the second quarter.

ABOUT THE TIGERS

• Towson opened its season by falling 11-10 to Mount St. Mary's on Tiger Field on Saturday, February 8. 
• Katie Roszko, Ocea Leavy and Valerie Thompson each scored two goals for the Tigers.
• Freshman goalkeeper Jenna Cardeno made 13 saves in her collegiate debut.

ABOUT THE MATCHUP

• Thursday's contest will be the 28th meeting for the Hoyas and the Tigers. The Blue & Gray are 12-15 against Towson.
• Last season, GU defeated the Tigers 13-5 on the road. Driggs led the offense with a career-high of five goals while Athanas set a career-high of eight draw controls and was selected as the BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week.
