Box Score WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (4-4) had 11 players score a goal in the 20-14 victory at Delaware (4-3) on Saturday afternoon at Delaware Stadium.
HOW IT HAPPENED
- The Blue Hens notched the first goal of the game but the Hoyas went on a seven-goal scoring run to lead 7-1 at the end of the first quarter.
- Sam Paradise scored 30 seconds into the second quarter for UD but the Hoyas scored three-straight to extend their lead 10-2. The Blue Hens responded with three goals of their own to come within five (10-5). Lauren Steer closed out the first half with a goal at the 3:08 mark of the second quarter. At halftime, the Hoyas led 11-5.
- Throughout the third quarter, the Blue Hens and Hoyas exchanged five pairs of goals. At the end of the third, GU held an 18-10 lead.
- In the opening two minutes of the fourth quarter, the Hoyas scored two goals to go up 20-10. UD made a four goal comeback late in the fourth, but the Hoyas would hold onto the lead to capture a 20-14 victory.
OF NOTE
- Gracie Driggs led GU with a season high of five goals and a career high of 15 draw controls. Against the Blue Hens, Driggs notched her 100th career draw control.
- Hanna Bishop led the offense with seven points (4G, 3A).
- The Hoyas outshot the Blue Hens 36-25 while also controlling the circle 27-10.

The Hoyas will be back in action on March 21 as they take on Cincinnati on Cooper Field. Opening draw is scheduled for 1 p.m.
