WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's lacrosse attacker
Sophia Loschert was named BIG EAST Freshman of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. The freshman was awarded the honor for her performances in GU's 13-9 victory at home over Villanova on Wednesday and the Hoyas' 22-11 win at Xavier on Saturday afternoon.

Lily Athanas each earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.

- Against the Wildcats, Loschert tallied a team-high of four goals.
- Loschert had a career-high seven goals, one assist and added one ground ball at Xavier.
Rileigh Meyer | Sr. | Midfielder - BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
- Against the Wildcats, Meyer recorded three goals, one ground ball, one caused turnover and two draw controls.
- At Xavier, Meyer notched one goal and three ground balls.
Lily Athanas | Sr. | Defender - BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll
- In GU's win over Villanova, Athanas recorded four ground balls, one caused turnover and three draw controls.
- Against Xavier, Athanas tallied one ground ball, one draw control and three caused turnovers.

The Hoyas will return to the Hilltop for a midweek matchup against No. 14 James Madison on Wednesday, April 9. Opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Cooper Field.
