Women’s Lacrosse Hosts No. 14 James Madison

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown women's lacrosse team (7-5, 2-1 BE) will host No. 14 James Madison (7-4, 3-0 AAC) for its final nonconference game of the season on Wednesday, April 8. The opening draw is scheduled for 4 p.m. on Cooper Field.

ABOUT THE HOYAS
  • The Hoyas are coming off a 22-11 conference victory at Xavier on Saturday afternoon.
  • Against XU, Sophia Loschert led the offense with a career high of eight points and seven goals.
  • Hanna Bishop leads the Hoyas with 46 points (22G, 24A) while Driggs leads with 33 goals. 
  • Bishop is the leading playmaker for GU with 24 assists. 
  • Driggs commands the circle for the Hoyas and is in sixth in program history with 80 draw controls on the season.
  • Christina King leads the defense with 12 caused turnovers, followed by Lily Athanas with 11. 
  • In net, Leah Warehime has 90 saves for a .411 save percentage.  
ABOUT THE DUKES 
  • JMU is coming off a 17-10 win over Charlotte at home on Saturday afternoon. 
  • Against the 49ers, Maddie Epke recorded a single-game school and conference record of 23 draw controls.
  • Epke leads the Dukes in points (44), goals (32) and draw controls (141).
  • Ava Bleckley leads the defense with 12 caused turnovers. 
  • In net, Adanya Mayer leads with 66 saves (.437 save percentage) followed by Caitlin Boden with 28 (.452) save percentage. 
ABOUT THE MATCHUP
  • Wednesday's contest will be the 17th meeting for the Hoyas and the Dukes, dating back to 1991. 
  • GU holds a 10-6 advantage over JMU, including a 6-3 record on the Hilltop.
