WASHINGTON – Georgetown University's men's lacrosse team will travel to face seventh-seeded Duke in the First Round of the upcoming NCAA Tournament, as announced by the selection committee on Sunday. The Hoyas head to Durham, North Carolina for a showdown on Saturday, May 10 at 7:30 p.m.
Coming off of an NCAA record seventh-straight BIG EAST Tournament Championship to earn the BIG EAST's automatic bid, Georgetown is making its 18th appearance in the NCAA Tournament in program history. The Hoyas reached the semifinals in 1999 and the quarterfinals 12 times including most recently in 2024.
The Hoyas are 11-4 overall and won the BIG EAST tournament title victories over Marquette and Villanova in Denver over the weekend.
Georgetown is 7-22 all-time against the Blue Devils, including a 12-7 loss in the Nation's Capital in 2017 during their last meeting.
