WASHINGTON – Georgetown University standouts
Aidan Carroll and
Dylan Hess (B'24) were both selected in the 2025 Premier Lacrosse League College Draft on Tuesday night. Carroll was selected by the Maryland Whipsnakes in the first round, seventh overall while Hess went in the second round, 15th overall to the Philadelphia Waterdogs.

Carroll is the fourth PLL first rounder in program history and tied for the second-highest PLL selection with Will Bowen (MSF'23). Only Tucker Dordevic (MiM'23) was selected higher. A two-time captain for the Hoyas, Carroll has amassed 143 points (89G, 54A) during his time on the Hilltop and is just the third player in program history with at least two seasons with 60 or more points. He has tallied 42 goals and 24 assists for 66 points this season and was named the BIG EAST Offensive Player of the Year and the BIG EAST Tournament Most Outstanding Player, the first player to ever earn the league's highest postseason tournament honor twice.

Hess was selected in the PLL College Draft for the second-straight season after being selected by the Carolina Chaos in the fourth round, 28th overall in 2024. He played a year in the MCLA while pursuing a Master's Degree at Florida after exhausting his NCAA eligibility with the Hoyas in 2024. While at Georgetown, Hess was named a USILA First Team All-American as a senior after earning honorable mention honors as a junior in 2023 and freshman in 2021. A three-time All-BIG EAST honoree, he was one of the top short-stick defensive midfielders in the country, credited with 16 caused turnovers to go with 25 ground balls in 2024.
Georgetown has a storied history in the professional lacrosse realm, sending 51 players to Major League Lacrosse from 2001 to 2020 via draft or free agency and another 17 to the PLL since the league's inception in 2019.
