WASHINGTON – Georgetown University women's lacrosse defender Christina King was named BIG EAST Defensive Player of the Week, as announced by the conference on Monday. Senior attacker Gracie Driggs was also named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll. The Georgetown student-athletes were honored for their performances against No. 2/3 Maryland University.

- King anchored the Hoya defense against No. 2/3 Maryland, leading the squad with four caused turnovers and a ground ball.
- Her veteran leadership has been pivotal to a Georgetown defensive unit that currently ranks 19th nationally and 1st in the BIG EAST in scoring defense (7.33 goals per game).

- Driggs reached a major career milestone this week, netting her 100th career goal against the Terrapins.
- The senior remains a dual threat for the Blue & Gray, leading the team in draw controls (4.00 per game) while ranking among the team's top point-scorers.
