ALL-AMERICAN MAGGIE DONAHUE
- Donahue is a junior hailing from Wellesley, Massachusetts. She is competing in just her second cross country season and has been named an All-American in each season.
- The 2021 BIG EAST Champion led the Hoyas in all but one race this season and on the sport's biggest stage, she finished 30th overall, clocking 19:51.3 over the 6,000-meter race.
- Through 2,000 meters Donahue was in 77th place but from that point on, she was in the business of chasing people down and picking off runners left and right. After moving up 23 spots in the next 1,000 meters, she ran down another eight runners every 1,000 meters through the end.
- In total, Donahue moved up 47 spots and split 3:12.9 over the final 1,000 meters to secure her All-America status.
- Donahue was the lone BIG EAST representative on the women's side and was one of two women from the Mid-Atlantic region to earn the recognition.
- This is Donahue's second-consecutive All-America honor as she finished 32nd during the 2020 Championships, which were held in March 2021 because of the COVID-19 pandemic. The 2020 season also saw Donahue named the Mid-Atlantic Region's Athletes of the Year by the USTFCCCA.
- Athletes from member institutions earned All-America recognition by finishing among the top-40 athletes in their gender's respective races this past weekend at the 2021 NCAA Division I Cross Country Championships in Tallahassee, Florida.
