Carapellotti and Raab Tabbed as All-BIG EAST Selections

WASHINGTON – The Georgetown University baseball team had both Owen Carapellotti and JT Raab named to the All-BIG EAST First Team as announced by the league office in New York on Tuesday. Carapellotti finished his Hoya career as a three-time All-BIG EAST selection and was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Year in 2022.

  • This is Carapellotti's third-consecutive season earning a spot on an All-BIG EAST team, and it is the first time the catcher has earned a spot on the first team. The senior slashed .325/.415/.663 in conference play and tallied 26 hits, six doubles, seven home runs, 24 RBIs and eight walks.
  • On the season, Carapellotti played in 51 games hitting .298 with 57 hits. The Canton, Michigan native boasted a .406 on base percentage and a .586 slugging percentage while hitting 11 doubles, one triple and 14 home runs.
  • Carapellotti tallied 48 RBIs and was third on the team in walks (29) and hit by pitches (7).
  • The senior will leave Georgetown as one of the most decorated Hoyas of all-time. Carapelloti ranks tied for first in games played (211), first in games started (208), first in home runs (52), first in at bats (790) and first in hit by pitches (39). He ranks fourth in runs scored (169), third in hits (228), tied for seventh in doubles (48), second in RBIs (183), second in total bases (446), sixth in slugging percentage (.567) and fourth in walks (118).

  • Raab was superb in conference play boasting a 3.26 ERA and a 2-2 record. The redshirt junior tossed 38.2 innings and led the BIG EAST in conference strikeouts with 44 on the campaign.
  • On the season, Raab boasted a 4-3 record and a 3.63 ERA in a team-high 74.1 innings pitched. The Seaford, New York native allowed only 30 earned runs in 2025 and tallied 77 strikeouts on the season.
  • On top of leading the BIG EAST in conference strikeouts, Raab led the league this season with his 77 across 14 games. Raab had the second most innings pitched and was tied for first in starts (14).
