WASHINGTON – Georgetown University men's baseball's Spencer Seid was named to the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll for the first set of weekly awards, as announced by the league office in New York on Monday. The award comes after the Hoyas went 1-2 last weekend against Winthrop in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The honors marks the Blue & Gray's first recognition from the league and Seid's first nod to the honor roll this season.
SPENCER SEID (GRADUATE / LHP / SAN MARINO, CALIF.) - BIG EAST HONOR ROLL
- In a 1-2 week, Seid was sensational for the Hoyas on the bump in the 8-3 win over Winthrop on Saturday, February 14 at Founders Field.
- In the win against the Eagles, the graduate student tossed 5.0 hitless and scoreless innings for the Hoyas. The left-handed pitcher managed to strike out six batters while only allowing three walks.
- This is Seid's first accolade from the league this season and first in his career.
- It is the first recognition for the Blue & Gray this campaign.
