WASHINGTON – Georgetown University Baseball Head Coach
Pete Wilk has announced the addition of three incoming freshmen to the roster. The three newcomers will join the Hoyas next fall as members of the Georgetown Class of 2023. They are part of a 10-member recruiting class as
seven of their classmates signed National Letters of Intent (NLI) in November.

Prior to Georgetown: Four-year starter and three-year captain on the Davis Senior High School baseball team … As a senior, named to all-league first team and all-metro honorable mention … Batted .312 and led Davis Senior in doubles (9) as a senior … Led the league in caught stealing percentage (40 percent) and ranked second in stolen bases (9) as a senior … Also a member of basketball team, serving as a team captain.

Prior to Georgetown: Four-year starter and two-time captain on the Tenafly High School baseball team … Helped lead Tenafly to the second round of the Bergen County Tournament as a sophomore, its best finish in 16 years … Named to the All-Big North National Division as a sophomore and the first team as a junior … Finished with a career .356 (60 for 191) batting average, including hitting .400 as a freshman and .407 as a junior … Also a two-year member of the wrestling team … Brother, Jay, is on the baseball team at Washington University in St. Louis … In the classroom, was a four-year high honor roll student.

Prior to Georgetown: Three-year starter on the Springside Chestnut Hill Academy baseball team, serving as a team captain as a senior … Helped lead Springside Chestnut to league championships in 2016 and 2019 … Named all-league first team as a junior and senior and league MVP as a senior … Also a three-year starter and captain of the football team, earning all-league honors as a junior and senior … Father John P. Elliott (C'93), great uncle Thomas J. Elliott (C'71, L'74), cousin Thomas X. Elliott (B'10), uncle Kirwan Elliott (B'02) and uncle Kyle Elliott (C'05) all played baseball at Georgetown … Aunt Heather Hoover (C'95) played field hockey and women's lacrosse at Georgetown … Brother Jack Elliott is a member of the Georgetown football team … In the classroom, was an honors student.
Georgetown concluded the 2019 season with a 22-34 overall record and a 7-11 mark in BIG EAST play, finishing in fifth place, just one game out of a postseason berth. A GU-record
five Hoyas were selected to All-BIG EAST teams, while the program also set a record with
four players taken in the 2019 MLB Draft earlier this month.
